Parking Dom Pristava mountain lodge (Javorniški rovt 22a, 4270 Jesenice)

The trail begins at the Dom Pristava mountain lodge in Javorniški Rovt from where it joins the forest road passing through Zois’ Park and continues in the direction of Golica. The forest road, which is also a marked trail, runs over meadows which are covered with daffodils in spring time and then enters the forest. Take the right-hand road where the two forest roads meet, heading in the direction of Pusti Rovt. From there, climb uphill following a steep track leading through the forest to the Pusti Rovt mountain pasture. Traverse it following the forest road and head to the right (in the direction of Struška) as instructed by the sign posts. Pass through the beech forest to reach the pastures at Kočna pass. Cross the pastures until you reach the marked trail running along the edge of the precipice. Follow this trail over the slopes until you reach the shepherd’s hut at Belska planina. The Belska planina meadow is abundant with alpine flowers, such as auricula, wild pansy, wild crocus, gentian, and many others. From the hut, head to the east to reach the Seča meadow by traversing the slopes. Once there, head down the slope towards Pristava. Descend through the Medji dol valley to Javorniški Rovt. Along the way, be sure to have a look at the system of water reservoirs of the Javornik stream, which runs into a smaller pond next to the Trilobit mountain lodge. After leaving the mountain lodge, head towards the paved road. Follow this road until you reach your original starting point, Dom Pristava.
