The Tannbålt is a gloomy forest of firs. You will necessarily have to cross it, but no worries: you might only meet the witty elves spying mushroom diggers through the trees! So take your bike and venture through woods and pastures into the Cimbrian forest.
At the top of Mount Virgo Maria stop in the mountain hut Baita del Neff to have a chat with Flavio, he is an original Cimbrian man! Later on take a break at Malga Millegrobbe, a renowned mountain resort where Massimo will be happy to meet you. Almost at the end of your tour, after passing the imposing Fort Lusérn, witness of the Great War, you can return to Lusérn. For a short distance you will travel along the “Sentiero cimbro dell'Immaginario”, one of the most beautiful in Trentino. Are you curious to find out more about it?

From the centre of Lusérn, cross the village, climb the road towards Passo Vézzena for a short distance, then turn left to enter the Tannbålt (white fir forest). Pedal up the western side of Mount Cucco, cross the wide pastures of Costalta and Millegrobbe di Sopra ("Milegruam" in Cimbrian language), then go up to Fort Lusérn (war 1914-18) and then further on, in the forest, returning to the village Lusérn from south-east.
