A long, beautiful and very technical route leading from Alpe Cimbra to the Centa valley and up again, along the scenic road Menador. It combines sport with the panoramic, naturalistic, cultural and historical aspect. It is ideal for good bikers!

A long mountain bike tour that leads from Alpe Cimbra to the Centa valley and then up again on the mountains. For hard bikers only. From Luserna/Lusérn pedal through the woods of Lavarone, reach Carbonare and then descend through the Centa valley, to Caldonazzo, in the upper Valsugana. From there start cycling up on the daring and well known in Trentino road called Menador. It offers spectacular views on the Lakes Caldonazzo and Levico and leads to Alpe Cimbra. In Luserna/Lusérn the Agritur Galeno is an excellent reference point to stop for the night and to enjoy the flavors of the local gastronomy.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the square of Luserna reach the mountain hut Malga Campo. Continue uphill towards Forte Lusérn and, from there, follow the dirt road that leads downhill to Malga Millegrobbe di sotto (Resort - Restaurant); take the provincial road to Passo Vézzena. After a few hundred meters turn left, go down the long forest road to the provincial road Monterovere-Luserna; pedal a few hundred meters on paved road, in direction Monterovere, then descend to loc. Laghetto. Here take the asphalted road which, slightly uphill, leads to the SS 349; cross it and on the opposite side, take the slight ascent, follow the long forest road to the military cemetery of Slaghenaufi. From here go down to the village Bertoldi (Lavarone), pedal in direction Stengheli and Lanzino; continue on this way until you reach Casare then, downhill, Comando, Malga Elbele and the village Carbonare. Pass through it and take the SS 349; follow it for a long stretch towards Trento, pass the long tunnel, cross the Passo della Fricca. Then leave the main road, go down towards the village Menegoi, cross the SS 349 and, on a dirt road, continue towards Frisanchi. A little further pass slightly upstream the mountain hut Paludei. After crossing the north slope of the mount Doss Alto, turn decisively to the left, go down the long forest road to the village Vattaro, continue towards Campregheri and arrive finally in Caldonazzo.

Stop at the ancient Court of Counts Trapp. From here, on a paved road, cross the valley of the stream Centa and take the road Menador which , with a difference in height of about 800 m and its panoramic bends, will take you back, uphill, to the Alpe Cimbra, near the Monterovere crossroads. Leave the paved road and turn left, take the long forest road that gradually leads you near the former hut Busa Verle and the homonymous Austro-Hungarian fortress. Surrounded by wide open spaces, along the easy paved descent, you will reach the Passo Vézzena. Cross the SS 349 road leading to Asiago and take the provincial road to Luserna. After two hairpin bends, come close to Malga Basson di Sopra, turn left and take the dirt road that leads into a large and pleasant pasture. Pedal along the dirt road that quickly takes you back to Luserna from east.
