Walk in the tranquility in the wood to rediscover the ancient Masi of Grumes, a mountain corner which has managed to preserve the atmosphere of its origins, dating back to the Middle Ages. Names and toponyms of places lead back to formation of Masi at the german  immigrations which involved Trentino between XI and XVI century, encouraged by the Tyrolean Lords of Koenigsberg and from the Prince Bishop of Trento to increase the tithes and guard an important link between Tyrol and the Adige Valley. For about four century from their arrival, the German peasant of the Masi di Grumes area, they kept their own language and customs, profoundly influencing the local culture. The path connects in a ring the Greggion, Ferrai, Pojeri, Todescat, Giovanni, Gairadi, Noldi, Orion and Pinteri Masi (farm) placed in an amphitheater of woods and meadows.

Author’s recommendation

Author:

A stage to do on the way out or on the way back is the one at Green Grill - Info and flavors, the Casa della Rete di Riserve, wich it's along the SS 612. Here you can taste or buy local products, receive informations about the territory, admire the valley from the spectacular panoramic terrace. Another possible stage in the half of the tour is that near the Casel dei masi, the ancient shift dairy today restaurant and landlords.

Semplice passeggiata. Bastano delle semplici scarpe da camminata in quanto il percorso è interamente su asfalto. Consigliato soprattutto in autunno e primavera.
