Turn-by-turn directions
From the refuge go up to the Potzmauer pass and follow the signs for the Lac del Vedes (m 1496). The path runs along the reserve and then reaches, on a dirt road, the huts and the crossroads of Valdonega. Follow the cemented road uphill towards Doss da l'ors. At the junction, turning left, in two minutes you reach a panoramic point with a hut. Continuing on the same road, in a fir forest, you reach another junction where you continue to the right. After a short stretch, at the junction the path on the right will take you back to the main road, reaching in a few minutes a basin (Monte dell'Orso). Follow the indication Cauria until, on wooden signs, you will find the signs for the Lago Bianco reachable in an hour. It is also possible from Valdonega to deviate towards the Paluda La Lot following the "Path of the borders" towards Cauria. Continuing towards Cauria, we reconnect to our path. At Lago Bianco take the forest road on the left and walk along the swamp. Then continue slightly uphill, following the trail sign that indicates the Black Lake. In a short time there is a semicircle that leads to the Black Lake and from here you continue towards the Malga del Corno which can be reached in half an hour of descent.
