Besuchen Sie in Grafenaschau das Café Habersetzer und genießen Sie auf der Sonnenterrasse mit einzigartigem Panoramablick ein leckeres Stück Kuchen oder Torte aus der hauseigenen Konditorei.

Turn-by-turn directions

Leave Oberammergau to the South and travel on the cycle path alongside the Ammer towards Ettal. Continue for about 800 meters to the outskirts of Ettal to reach the "Ettal col". A downhill section now follows.

After a long left bend in the road, turn off the B 23 main road by taking a right turn in the next right-hand bend below the "Ettal col" (inexperienced cyclists should remain on the B 23 until they reach Oberau).

Only practised cyclists should take on the route to Oberau, which is extremely steep and bumpy in places (dangerous descent), and on to the railway station. You will also need to cross the very busy B 2 main road.

Pass the station, travelling over the railway tracks and Loisach Bridge on to the golf course and along the edge of the forest to Eschenlohe. In the village centre, turn left at the war memorial just before the "Alter Wirt" inn and head towards the cemetery. After crossing under the B 2 main road and the motorway, turn off right on the local road to Grafenaschau.

This is a quiet road that is closed to general traffic, and you will enjoy varied scenery as you pass through the southern part of the "Murnau Moor" to Grafenaschau. In the village centre, turn left past the cemetery and up a good forest pathway to Bad Kohlgrub.

Cycle through Bad Kohlgrub heading towards Saulgrub. Shortly before leaving Bad Kohlgrub, turn off right and proceed through the district of Kraggenau until the first houses of Saulgrub come into view.

About 100 metres before a garden centre, turn left onto a gravel road. After approximately 600 metres, you will meet an asphalt road which takes you past the "Aura Hotel" and on to Wurmansau. In Wurmansau, bear right at the small chapel on the left-hand side and pass under the B 23 main road onto the local road.

Turn left to Unterammergau and take the cycle path back to Oberammergau.
