Cross the River Ach and proceed up a slight incline towards the hamlet of Kalkofen. Just before you reach Kalkofen, turn sharply right in a left-hand bend in the road and enter a forest pathway. You now begin to climb steeply. Cross the Ach again and proceed steeply uphill until you reach a fork.
Bear left through the forest, crossing the Ach yet again to pass the hamlets of Brand and Harberg. A shady trail now takes you into Uffing. In the village centre, turn right into Seestraße, which is home to one of the most attractive bathing spots on Lake Staffelsee. For the return journey, cycle back to the place where you entered the village.
This time, however, keep right on a tarred side road with a number of quite long climbs until you reach Schöffau. Turn left at the church, pass the hamlet of Kalkofen and continue onto Saliter. You are now on the route familiar to you from before and return to Bad Bayersoien via Kirmesau.
