At the end of the gorge, you meet a broad forest road. A path to your left leads to St Joseph's Chapel. You pass the Langentalalm (no refreshments available) and then reach the Pürschling House (August Schuster House).
Hikers with experience of the mountains and with stout climbing boots may choose to return via the Teufelstättkopf (1757 metres). A wire rope support is in place in some areas. A narrow and steep path through the nature conservation area takes you to the summit and brings you back to your starting point via the Kühalm and past the grinding mill.
There is also a simpler option: At the Pürschling House, a pathway leads over the ridge of the Plattenberg back down into the valley.
