Easy hike up onto the Aufacker with attractive views of Obeammergau

The first section runs along the popular "Altherrenweg" to the marked entry point to the Großer Aufacker. The path winds its way up partly steep serpentines to the summit, which awaits you with a fantastic view of Oberammergau. During the annual Ludwig fire, mountain fires are lit here in honor of the fairy tale king.

It goes down over broader paths through the mountain forest to the Romanshöhe panorama restaurant where you can stop and let your gaze wander over the Ammertal.

You hike back to the starting point via the "Altherrenweg".

After the hike, we recommend a visit to the WellenBerg adventure pool. The outdoor hot water basin in particular scores with its view of the surrounding mountains.
