From here, proceed along the ridge, which is also easily walkable, until you reach the descent to the Kuhalm. The mighty Wettersteinblock will be your constant companion and will provide fabulous views of the Dreitorspitze, Alpspitze and Zugspitze.
Via the Kühalpenbach Valley, you will arrive in Graswang – one of the most beautiful villages in the Bavarian Alps. From here, there is a bus service back to Ettal.

The attractive pathway continues on up to the Zieglspitz at 1719 metres. More and more views of the surrounding mountain terrain will now open up. After a further climb of just over 200 metres, you will reach your destination – the summit of the Notkarspitze at 1988 metres .
After taking a rest at the summit, follow the path towards the Brünstlkopf. This path leads along the ridge. You then turn off right towards Kuhalm, heading towards Kühalpen Valley.
Pass the derelict Gießenbach Alm and hike down to Kuh Alm. The path branches off directly at the alm. Follow this path along the Kühalpen stream until you reach the valley.
You will pass the Chapel of St. Gertrudein Dickelschwaig on the way to Graswang. From Graszwang, take the bus back to your original starting point.
The bus stop is located on the edge of Ettal, only about 300 metres from the car park at Ettal col.
