After a comfortable ascent via the Soila Alm across attractive and open terrain, the Laberhaus Mountain Inn provides an ideal opportunity to take a break whilst taking in oustanding views of the Alps in the distance. Return down into the valley via the same route. The hot water basin at the WellenBerg Adventure Pool in Oberammergau will be waiting for your visit.

The course was developed in 2015 by the German Alpine Association working in conjunction with local representatives (forestry, hunting and farmers) as part of the “Environmentally friendly mountain skiing and climbing” project.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the car park at the Laber Cable Car, start by following the route taken by the cable up the first small part of the mountain until you reach the forest road. Keeping alongside the River Laine, follow this road as far as the Bärenbadflecken, where you turn off right and ascend through open terrain to the Soila Alm. The route now becomes steeper, and the course turns off from the summer pathway to the right. It continues over the ridge of the Laberjoch and on to the Laberhaus Inn.
After a well-earned rest on the sun tarrace of the Laberhaus, you can either take the Laber Cable Car back down into the valley or descend via the same route until you reach your starting point.

Never get lost again. We recommend our free app "Ammergau Alp tour planner", which includes all tours in the region.
