Turn-by-turn directions

This small route around Ettal begins at the abbey and starts by following the road leading towards Oberau. You soon turn left into Alte Bergstraße, which you follow until the road ends.

Then turn left onto the Enzian Trail, which slopes gently uphill. Approximately at the highest point of the trail, you will meet the hiking route leading to the Ettaler Manndl.

Turn left, heading back down into the valley. You then immediately follow the pathway to the right. This leads around the entire abbey grounds back to your original starting point in the village.
