Once you have completed a small climb up to "Wäldle", you will see the mud spa village of Bad Kohlgrub below you as well as enjoying magnificent views of the Ammergau Alps.

Sprittelsberg boasts a wooden chapel with a Statue of Our Lady from Altötting. From the heights of Steigrain, you will once again be treated to fabulous views of the village and of its "home mountain" the "Hörnle".

Turn-by-turn directions

Starting from the Sports Centre in Bad Kohlgrub, climb up to "Wäldle". Proceed in an easterly direction to the "Rantscher Pool". Turn left at the pool to ascend gently through a small wood to the hamlet of Sprittelsberg, form where there are fantastic views of Lake Staffelsee.

Return to Bad Kohlgrub via the road that leads through the hamlets of Grub and Steigrain.
