On the first stage of the Panorama Trail you have already got to know the magnificent nature of the region. The journey through the Schwarza Valley continues over hills and through picturesque valleys to the end of the flat section of the Oberwei&szligbach mountain railway in Cursdorf.

From Schwarzburg you walk über the Burgberg in a südlicher direction down to the Mariannensteg. This is also where the small path to the Open-Air Bath Schwarzburg leaves. In hot summer months you can cool off in the small forest pool. Via the Schneideborn and the Mooshäuschen, past the Tanzbuche, you reach the Sitzendorfblick. From here you have a wonderful panoramic view over the Sorbitzgrund and can see as far as Sitzendorf.

At Neu-Leibis you leave the Schwarzatal for the time being and walk along the Flüsschen Lichte towards Unterweißbach. After another climb you ll reach a refuge. From here you have a good view of the üover 100 m high dam wall of the Libis-Lichte dam.

.

The Panorama Trail now continues steadily uphill üacross the Solwiese past another great vantage point to the herbal hut below the Kirchberg near Oberweißbach. Here the Panorama Trail leaves on the herbal nature trail in the direction of the Fröbelturm, which is also the highest point of this stage. The wonderful view over the Schwarza Valley in the north and the hills towards the Thuringian Slate Mountains in the southeast is a reward for the strenuous climb.

At the end of the stage, you walk down the avenue to Cursdorf.
