From Morshausen down to the Ehrenburg valley. Ascent to the Ehrenburg. Through the Ehrbachklamm gorge to the Daubisbergermühle mill. Shortly after, we leave stage 23 of the Saar-Hunsrück Climb and arrive in the Preisbach Valley past the Schönecker steel well to the Baunhöllermühle. Here you have the opportunity to stop for a break before arriving in Emmelshausen.

Turn-by-turn directions

After parking your car in Morshausen or taking the bus line 628 from Emmelshausen on weekdays, follow the signs of the Saar-Hunsrück Climb down to the Ehrenburg Valley. An ascent to Ehrenburg Castle is rewarded with the great castle ambience. Continue uphill through the impressive Ehrbachklamm gorge, whose paths lead over rocks and bridges, some with rope attachments. Arrived at the Daubisbergermühle, you can provide yourself with cooling drinks and ice cream. You continue to follow the SHS signs before turning right into the Preisbach Valley. There you will pass the Schönecker Stahlbrunnen, whose water is known for its high iron content. Shortly after, you will reach the Baunhöller Mühle, a restaurant with home-style cooking and an outdoor terrace. Now follows the final spurt to Emmelshausen, which you will then reach after a good 20 km of daily stage.
