Small bathing lake just outside Emmering in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck.
The bathing lake is considered an insider tip in Munich's west and is a quarry pond, which attracts with its bright blue water and a small sand/gravel beach. On site there are food possibilities through the kiosk "Seegart'l", furthermore the lake has a playground, a beach volleyball field, fireplaces and changing rooms as well as toilets.

In the summer months there is a bathing island in the middle of the lake, which attracts especially children and young people.

Public transport

The journey by public transport is possible via the S-Bahn line S3 (stop Olching), the bus 843 (stop Landfridstraße) and a walk of about 10 minutes, but it is quite complicated and not ideal.

Therefore it is recommended to approach the lake by bike or by your own car.

Getting there

It is much easier to reach by car than by public transport. On the A8 from Munich, take the Dachau/Fürstenfeldbruck exit, then take the B 471 and leave the B 471 at the Maisach/Emmering/Olching/Esting/Gernlinden exit. After the exit keep left and take the third exit at the traffic circle. The lake is on the right hand side after about one kilometer.

You can reach the lake from the highway exit in about 5 minutes.

By bike, the approach from the city of Emmering/Fürstenfeldbruck is quite easy to reach. For this purpose, leave the town of Fürstenfeldbruck on Dachauerstraße and turn right into the main road in the following left-hand bend in the direction of Emmering. Follow the road until you reach a right of way street, where you have to turn straight into the Dachauerstraße. Then keep right, follow Dachauerstraße and keep left towards the end of the town.

The lake is on the left side of the road in about 200 meters after the place name sign.

Parking

Parking is available on site during the summer months at two lake parking lots for a fee.

(1 € per hour / maximum daily rate = 3 €)

During the winter months the parking lot directly at the lake is closed with a barrier, but you can pack your car on the opposite side of the road free of charge.
