Monument to the 1972 Olympic assassination attempt in Munich in which Israeli athletes were killed by members of a Palestinian terrorist organization.
The hostage-taking involved forcing the release of several Palestinian prisoners in Israel. A total of 17 people were killed, including 5 terrorists and 1 police officer from Bavaria. The names of the victims are written in Hebrew letters on the memorial. 

Public transport

Subway stop U3 Olympiazentrum. Then follow the signs to the Studentenviertel and go south at the Olydorf towards the skate park. Walk up to the bridge which leads over the Georg Brauchle Ring into the Olympiapark. After a 5 minute walk you will see the finish on the right side 

Getting there

Enter the given address into the navigation system and drive via the Helene-Mayer Ring to the parking level of the Olympic Village. 


In the parking level of the Olympic Village, all parking spaces that are not marked as private are free of charge. With a little search you will always find a parking space in the parking level. If there is no parking place free, one can park for 1 euro per hour in the P&R Olympiazentrum at the Helene-Mayer-Ring 3.
