Against forgetting
The memorial in the center of town is a reminder of the death marches of thousands of concentration camps prisoners from Dachau and its satellite camps Landsberg/Kaufering. Shortly before the collapse of the Nazi regime and the arrival of the American troops the famished and ragged forced laborers, most of them Jewish, were driven through the Pucher and Dachauer Straße in Fürstenfeldbruck. The sculptor Hubertus von Pilgrim created the memorial commemorating each stop in their dreadful ordeal which only few of them survived.
