At that time one of the most important venues of the Olympic Games. Today a versatile venue for events and open air events of all kinds.
According to the architect Frei Paul Otto, the construction of the Olympic Stadium with its spectacular, organic-looking tent roof was intended to symbolise the openness and modernity of the Bavarian capital.

After the Olympic Games, it was converted into one of the largest open-air stages in Munich and has since been the venue for many concerts and events, such as the DTM and the European Athletics Championships in 2002.

Nowadays, action-packed climbing and ziplining tours are offered on the roof of the Olympic Stadium. You can find more information here.

Some world stars such as AC/DC and Michael Jackson have already given concerts here and shape the cultural status of this building.
