The Olympiaberg is the highest "mountain" in Munich. From there you have on one side a view over the Olympic area and on the other side a view over the city up to the Alps.
This 56 meter high mountain was built on the ruins and debris of the Second World War. During the time of the Olympic Games, it was greened and has been used several times since 1986 to host various winter sports events.

On top of it, one has a view over the whole of Munich. On cloudless days you have a clear view of the Alps. On the one hand very popular with tourists as a viewing platform, on the other hand you can see many people from Munich, who mostly enjoy the sunset there with their friends over a beer.

Public transport

Subway stop U3 Olympiazentrum. Then follow the signs in southern direction to the Olympiapark and after the Olympiaturm turn left past the Olympiasee sen Berg uphill.

Getting there

Enter the given address into the navigation system and drive via the Mittlerer Ring to the parking harp of the Olympiapark. Alternatively you can also park in the Olympic Village.

Parking

In the parking level of the Olympic Village, all parking spaces that are not marked as private are free of charge. With a little search you will always find a parking space in the parking level. If there is no parking place free, one can park for 1 euro per hour in the P&R Olympiazentrum at the Helene-Mayer-Ring 3. If one does not want to walk that far, one can alternatively park in the parking harp of the Olympic Park for 5 euros per two hours. This has its entrance directly at the middle ring (304)
