Author’s recommendation

Between Frauenberg and Stephansberg there is a very nice view of the Alpine panorama.

For the little hunger there is a cafe in Egenhofen.

Turn-by-turn directions

To the Furthmühle we stare at the Old Town Hall Fürstenfeldbruck, main street, and follow the Amper-Paar-Radweg (AP) in the direction of Aichach.

It runs north over Augsburger Straße and after the bridge over the B471 at the 2nd traffic light turn left into Malchinger Straße. 300 m after the end of the village, turn left through the underpass.

Then we continue on the AP via Lindach, Malching, Germerswang and Frauenberg to Stephansberg. At the end of Stephansberg we leave the AP and turn right to Oberlappach, there we turn left to Deisenhofen and continue towards Wenigmünchen.

To the Furthmühle we continue in Kuchenried straight on to Wenigmünchen, past the church of St. Michael and Calvary. In Wenigmünchen we turn left to Waltenhofen, where we turn right in the centre of the village in the direction of Egenhofen.

On a narrow tar road we come to Dirlesried. We leave the village to the left in the direction of Egenhofen. At the beginning of Egenhofen we turn right towards Odelzhausen and after about 1 km we reach the Furthmühle. For the return trip to Fürstenfeldbruck we follow the AP again, which leads past the Furthmühle. Via Egenhofen, Poigern and Unterschweinbach we reach Aufkirchen.

Here we leave the AP and turn right into Mammendorfer Straße. After 500 m we turn left to Geisenhofen and turn right before Geisenhofen to Germerswang. 300 m further it goes (without signposts) to the left.

A narrow concrete track leads us back to Germerswang, from where we follow the AP back to Fürstenfeldbruck.
