A very nice ‘via ferrata’ within a beautiful and impressive landscape. It is well accessible by cable car.
Distance 4.7 km
From the mountain station of the Kreuzeckbahn you have access to a great Alpine landscape where both climbers and non-climbers will find the perfect tour. This is particularly true for the Alpspitze where you will find well-maintained via ferratas (a mountain route that is equipped with fixed cables, stemples, ladders and bridges).
For a more detailed description of the tour, please refer to "PDF Print" above.
We recommend that you ask for advice from one of our mountain guides from the mountain guide office in the Tourist Information if you intend to climb via ferratas. Our guides escort you, show you the most beautiful places and always have a special tip for you.The Alpspitze particularly offers many interesting routes for you to safely discover - with a guide - even with children.
Update: December 29, 2021
Safety informationClimb the via ferrata only if you have sufficient mountaineering experience and if you have equipment for fixed rope routes and a helmet. In early summer as well as in late fall, there might be snow! It is absolutely necessary to be surefooted, in a good physical condition and not afraid of heights.
