"Let your mind ascend!" is a meditation path in the hiking and skiing area called "Classic-Gebiet". The trails are well maintained and marked; they are suitable for skilled hikers. You can do the tour downhill or uphill or just go on parts of the path. 6 stations and 20 waypoints invite you to rest, slow your everyday life, and gather new strength. The grandiose nature and numerous resting places will do their share in helping you to experience all of that.

Public transport

The Deutsche Bahn (German Federal Railway) offers comfortable and regular connections to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Use the station’s rear exit, turn right after having passed the Zugspitzbahn rack railway and walk to the Olympia-Eissport-Zentrum (Olympic Ice Sports Centre), walk past it and continue to the Alpspitz-Wellenbad (swimming facilities) (this is a 5 min walk).

Getting there

Take the motorway A95 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen to its end at Eschenlohe, continuing on the state road B2 to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Follow the signs to the Garmisch part of the town.

If you are coming from Mittenwald, follow the signs in the direction of Grainau/Zugspitze/Reutte when you have reached the intersection at the Rathausplatz (town hall square).

If you are coming from Grainau/Ehrwald (Tyrol), follow the signs "Ortsteil Partenkirchen".

When you are near the station, signs will point you the way to the Alpspitz-Wellenbad/Olympia Eissport-Zentrum, regardless of which direction you are coming. The signs will point you to the big parking area, which is the starting point of our tour.

Parking

There is a parking area at the Alpspitz-Wellenbad/Olympia Eissportzentrum (Olympic Ice Sports Centre) (P6) and at Mount Hausberg.
