The cycle tour starts directly at the boundary stone to Switzerland. The route passes through Balzers and up to Gutenberg Castle - this viewpoint is fabulous. The tour continues on a comfortable route to Triesen. The route then leads upwards to Triesenberg and back down to Vaduz - directly past Vaduz Castle.

From the Swiss-Liechtenstein boundary stone the route takes riders directly to Balzers. At Gutenberg Castle it is worth walking up the hill or riding up this on an e-bike. The view is fantastic, and is an excellent place to take fantastic photos. We continue along the “old Landstrasse” to Triesen. On this route it is worth stopping at the Lawena Museum (see opening hours) or taking a little break at the St. Mamerta Chapel.

From there, the trail then climbs up to Triesenberg - a steady ascent to 900 metres above sea level. A view across the entire Rhine Valley is the reward for the ascent.

On the descent to Vaduz, you pass directly by Vaduz Castle - a beautiful photo opportunity. While the castle is not open to visitors, with the LIstory App it is possible to admire views of the structure. Having arrived in the Städtle district of Vaduz, there is much to explore. A visit to one of the numerous museums, a souvenir purchase or a tour of Vaduz on the Citytrain. Good advice is available at the Liechtenstein Center - simply drop by.

You can rent an e-bike in Vaduz, Liechtenstein Center. If it is possible to rent it in Balzers I do not know. Have a look in google. I found in Balzers a bike shop. Maybe the Liechtenstein Center provides more information: https://tourismus.li/lie/ort/Liechtenstein%20Center%20in%20Vaduz/ Website only in DE, but Email or Tel available to get more information.

Im August 2021 habe ich diese Etappe mit dem "klassischen" MTB unternommen. Der Aufstieg nach Triesenberg war sehr anstrengend, dafür entschädigte die lange Abfahrt nach Vaduz für alles.
