The 5 Lakes Tour in the Lötschental combines all the beauties that make this magical valley so special. Wild nature wherever the eye goes. Past grazing cows, sheep and goats, and if you're lucky you might even see some alpine animals such as chamois, ibex and marmots. The trail begins moderately towards Grundsee at 1850m, then climbs slightly to Guggisee at 2000m. Via the Guggistafel the path leads back towards Fafleralp and Faflersee at 1800m. The next lake is reached with a steep ascent to 2656m at Blauseeli. This steep part must then be descended again, after which the route again leads only moderately further to Schwarzsee at 1860m. Here you can jump into the clear cool water and rinse off the strains of the ascent, and then continue down via Eisten to Blatten.
