The Lötschental Panoramic Trail is one of the best-known Panoramic trails in the Valais. Situated almost entirely between 1,800 and 2,100 m above sea level, this route offers hikers a magical panoramic view of the Lötschental. The trail takes hikers through wild, romantic forests and across Alpine meadows and offers idyllic picnic spots to rest and recover on the edge of the picturesque Schwarzsee lake. Descent from the Faldumalp to Ferden (gradually sloping natural path) or to Goppenstein (rather steeper descent via Haselleen).

Public transport

The postbus runs every hour from Gampel/Steg or Goppenstein to Fafleralp ("Fafleralp" postbus stop).

Getting there

Drive into the Lötschental from Goppenstein, past the villages of Ferden, Kippel, Wiler and Blatten to the Fafleralp car park.

You can park your car in the Fafleralp car park (not free).

Bonjour ! La durée du parcours est de 8h55 alors que celle du chemin panoramique Lotschberg (plus longue) est de 7h30. Pouvez-vous confirmer que le parcours Fafleralp-Faldumalp prend bien 8h55 ? Merci d'avance pour votre réponse.

Bonjour, le temps de marche depuis Fafleralp jusqu'à Faldumalp est environ 5 heures. Après vous pouvez compter 1h30 pour descendre à Goppenstein.

Wir möchten den Weg von Jeizinen über die Oberi Meiggu - Restialp - Ferden am 30. Mai laufen. Ist dieser Teil des Höhenweges auch noch geschlossen?

Der Lötschentaler Höhenweg ist für mich schlicht und einfach eine der schönsten Höhenwanderungen der Schweiz, zumal man praktisch auf Schritt und Tritt von einem grossartigen Alpenpanorama "begleitet" wird!
