From Wiler, head towards Weissenried. The Chapel of St. George is situated in the hamlet of Weissenried and the tranquillity and remoteness of this place invites visitors to linger a while and relax. The ascent to the Tellialp starts in Weissenried. Here you can enjoy something to eat or drink in the Tellialp Restaurant. From the Tellialp, continue along the Lötschental Alpine Trail towards the Fafleralp. You will pass the idyllic "Schwarzsee" (Black Lake) where you can read a legend about the "Countess of the Schwarzsee". It is only a short distance from here to the Fafleralp in the uppermost region of the Lötschental, which forms the boundary of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
