Extension Faldumalp - Jeizinen (underi Meiggu)

The Lötschental Panoramic Trail is one the longest and best-known Alpine trails in the Valais. Situated almost entirely between 1,900 and 2,100 metres above sea level, this route offers hikers a magical panoramic view of Lötschental. The trail takes hikers through wild, romantic forests and across Alpine meadows and offers idyllic picnic spots to rest and recover on the edge of the picturesque Schwarzsee lake.

For hikers who have not had enough, there is the possibility of walking from the Faldumalp to Jeizinen (underi Meiggu). From Jeizinen (on the edge of the Rhone Valley) hikers can take the cable car to Gampel and from there catch the Post Bus back to the Lötschental. We also recommend walking this trail in the opposite direction from Jeizinen to Faldumalp.
