From Rosenheim, we go along the Inn river and Mount Wendelstein towards Austria. On the way, we not only pass Neubeuern with its beautiful market place, but we can also take the rack and pinion railway from Brannenburg to Mount Wendelstein and try out the forest high-wire garden and summer toboggan run in Oberaudorf. Right before Oberaudorf, we cross the Inn to Austria and reach Niederndorf, the end of the stage.
This route passes through an inaccessible area and is therefore closed.
Distance 29.5 km
From Rosenheim over the Innbrücke bridge onto the right riverbank (Schlossberg/Stephanskirchen), turn right straight away onto the Rohrdorfer Straße as far as the railway bridge and then continue on to the approach to the next bridge. Stay right on the bridge ramp, do a U-shape right turn, through the cyclist underpass. Continue up the Inn, past the Bockau sewage treatment plant and the substation, turn right onto the Innweg to Neubeuern. Keep going south, through the motorway underpass to Raubling (on the left riverbank of the Inn). We stay on the left bank of the Inn, cross the road which leads over the Innbrücke bridge to Kirchdorf, to the left is the Neubeuern market. Carry on cycling along the Inndamm, past Lake Neubeurer See with view of the church steeple of Nussdorf. We pass the Nussdorf power plant, through a residential area where we turn right at the Innbrücke bridge, (cycle path on the left-hand side of the road). We cross the Inn, turn left after the give way sign onto the Tiefenbacherweg and follow the path to the right of the Inndamm. Go past Brannenburg and Flintsbach. The cycle path runs between the Inn and the motorway. When at the height of Oberaudorf, the Mozart cycle path turns left towards the covered Zollhausbrücke bridge over the Inn to Austria.
