Sentiero Durissini

The Sentiero Durissini represents a circuit of the central peaks of the Cadini di Misurina, which form the southern end of the Sesto Dolomites. Amidst the wild towers, peaks, pinnacles and jagged ridges, the tour runs in a constant uphill and downhill manner through numerous notches such as the Forcella Ciadin Deserto or the Forcella della Torre. Not only do some ladders and secured rock passages provide variety, but also constantly new views far beyond the jagged cirque peaks of the Cadini group. The tour is therefore only suitable for mountaineers with sufficient alpine experience and surefootedness. From the top station of the Col de Varda lift, the route first leads to the Rifugio Città di Carpi. From there, the Sentiero Durissini runs north along the east face of the central Cadini group until finally reaching the wonderfully situated Rifugio Fratelli Fonda Savio.
