The content of the redesign of the former site of the city lighting was the development of a sustainable and future-oriented inner-city green space of remembrance, learning and encounter. The special attractiveness of the areas where ruderal vegetation with the old pole lights, path surfaces and walls, creates a new, gradually changing landscape.

Differentiated play units have been inserted into the terrain and are primarily intended for children from the residential area. Noise-intensive facilities, such as goals, a skateboarding track, etc., were not planned in order not to burden the special character of the park and to minimise noise pollution.

A platform house is equipped with a platform, house, slide, sloping climbing net as well as sand hoist on the rotating crane and pouring pipe for the perfect sand building site. See-saw animals, a large double swing and a merry-go-round provide the necessary momentum. Two table tennis tables complete the offer for children and young people.

Bicycles and dogs are not allowed. Entrance through Krölstraße 51/52.

Opening hours

The facility opens at 9:00 a.m. in the morning and closes at 8:00 p.m. or at dusk.
