Santa Massenza rock-climbing area
Santa Massenza rock-climbing area is an old natural cliff located in the outskirts of the town bearing the same name. It features 16 routes covering a difference in altitude from 15 m to 30 m, and difficulty rating from 6a+ to 7c. Such cliffs require vertical climbing, movement skills and hand stamina. It faces east, so the recommended seasons for climbing are spring, summer and winter. It can be reached in about a 10-minute walk. 60 m ropes are advisable. The area around the base of the cliff is easy but for adults only. The car park is suitable for vans and campers as well as cars.
