Into the heart of Brenta Dolomites, UNESCO natural heritage, from the wild Val Ambiez to the great Dolomites peaks: maybe a less famous track, but it certainly gives youa lot of satisfaction.

Author’s recommendation

Hut Agostini

Bocca di Brenta, just some meters away from hut Pedrotti, where the view embraces Adamello and Presanella too.

Destination

Hut Croz dell'Altissimo

Turn-by-turn directions

You reach hut Al Cacciatore using a jeep transfer from San Lorenzo in Banale and then you walk along the forest road 325B going to hut Agostini and passing by Malga di Prato sopra. After an hour, and just some minutes from hut Agostini, you go right along path 320 (Palmieri basso), direction Forcolotta di Noghera (1 hr.); just before this "pass" you find some more difficult passages  and at the pass the view is simpy incredible, going from Paganella to the central Brenta Dolomites. The way goes almost flat, passing by the characteristic Pozza Tramontana, before going down rapidly and then upwards to the basis of Cima Brenta Bassa and then to hut Pedrotti.

From the hut you go down to first to hut Selvata and then to hut Croz dell'Altissimo; from here you reach Molveno using a jeep transfer.
