Safety information

The first part of the tour (from Andalo to Riva del Garda) goes along state streets, where there is normally not so much traffic (at least to Passo Ballino). Therefore, pay attention!!!

Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.

Turn-by-turn directions

The itinerary starts from Piazza Dolomiti in Andalo: take the SS 421 in direction of Molveno-Comano Terme-Riva del Garda. The first part of the track is very easy and suitable for all: going down to Molveno and walk straight on along the lake, then, restarting to descend to San Lorenzo in Banale and then to Ponte Arche - Terme di Comano. From here you go uphill - but not too steep - to Lomaso Plateau and to Passo Ballino, where you begin the descent going in direction Lake Garda. Near the wonderful Lake Tenno, you go right following the indication to Pranzo and in few kilometers yoy reach Riva del Garda and from here Torbole sul Garda. Here, on the lake, you go along the cycling path leading to Arco, then to Dro and finally to Sarche, where you turn left, onto the main road to Tione and to Madonna di Campiglio. At the third turn, you go right to the cycling path Limarò, therefore avoiding to cycle along the main road, through a wide area. Some kilometers before reaching Ponte Arche, you turn right, to Villa Banale and Molveno/Andalo, going along the same way where you've already gone.
