On the last day of the Kesch Trek, a particularly beautiful place awaits you. Shortly before Preda is the Lai da Palpuogna, which was named in a survey by Swiss television "the most beautiful spots in Switzerland". It is often described as the "blue eye of the landscape", and in fact the Palpuogna lake shimmers in a variety of shades of blue. In autumn, the contrast with the yellow larches is particularly beautiful. Let yourself be enchanted by the surroundings and treat yourself to a break at the barbecue areas around the lake.
Are you staying at Hotel Kulm Preda? Then you are on the day's goal already in Preda. For all others, it goes on to Bergün.
Why not hike the last piece from Preda to Bergün on the Railway Adventure Trail instead of taking the train. Information panels tell of the audacity of the engineers of the Albula Line, built over 100 years ago and since 2008 a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trail follows the railway line and offers mesmerizing views of viaducts, tunnels and the confusing track through the terrain.
