Turn-by-turn directions
From here, the route continues along a clear path, bypassing a large vineyard basin on the right. Entering the wood, the trail descends slightly and then curves to the left, taking us over a wide meadow with a broad view of the city of Rovereto and lower Vallagarina.
Continuing around the vineyards, a little later on the side of the path is the obvious access to a military tunnel built by the Austro-Hungarian army during the Great War. The more adventurous can visit it if properly equipped with headlamps.
A little further on, continuing in a northerly direction, it is possible to climb briefly to the left onto an evident small rise characterised by slabs of rock smoothed by the flow of the glaciers and from here descend again to gain access to the evident little road of the original route that winds its way through the woods and the countryside. After a short steep stretch that climbs to the left, you join up with the stretch that leads back to the stone cross and from here, along the same route as before, you return to the car park.
