A 30 km trek on the ridges between Vallarsa and Vallagarina, starting from Pian delle Fugazze to the Monte Zugna Refuge.

We set off from Pian delle Fugazze in the direction of Campogrosso across the Tibetan bridge (for those who feel up to it).We will then continue from Campogrosso on path no. 157 towards Boale dei Fondi, Bocchetta Mosca with a stop at the Fraccaroli refuge for a maximum of one and a half hours recommended. From the refuge, we will continue on path 115 in the direction of Passo Buole.

You will pass Bocchetta Cherlong, below Cima Cherlong, and then Bocchetta di Grole, next to Cima della Neve and Cima Posta. We will plunge into the Sinel meadows passing by the Bivacco Sinel bivouac, and then cross the Levante flank, the Val di Gatto and reach the Malga of the same name. From there, we will cross Passo Buole in the direction of Monte Zugna, alongside cima selvata, to conclude the 30-kilometre walk at Rifugio Coni Zugna in the Parco della Pace.

 

On the following day, you will walk in the opposite direction up to Passo Buole and then deviate towards Riva di Vallarsa; halfway down, deviating towards Ometto - Obra di Vallarsa, you will cross the road tunnel (closed to traffic) and come out in Valle della Siebe, taking path 152 (Campogrosso - Malga Siebe).

At the Siebe pass, at an altitude of 1100 metres, you will walk along the old Siebe road in the direction of Campogrosso leaving path 152, or staying on path 152 you will continue in the direction of Malga Siebe until Spiazzo delle Pierche, then on path 151 in the direction of Malga Storta - Campogrosso, returning across the Tibetan bridge to Pian delle Fugazze.

The route is long and demanding, with stretches without a telephone connection: we therefore recommend downloading the gpx track offline and contacting the Coni Zugna refuge for updates and availability (reservations are appreciated if you wish to stay overnight at the refuge) before setting off.

Turn-by-turn directions

Equipment

Appropriate equipment for the duration and difficulty of the itinerary is recommended, with sufficient spare parts (bearing in mind that the weather varies quickly), mountain walking shoes or hiking boots, equipment for tackling the Tibetan bridge safely (harness, carabiners, etc.), water supplies and supplements.
