The route leads through the varied landscape of beech forests and mid-mountain pastures. In the stretch between Malga Campo and Bocca del Creer, you can observe marmots populating the steep slopes just below the road, while upstream you can see the reforestation carried out through the planting of hundreds of cirmoli (stone pine trees) over the decades on the initiative of Augusto Girardelli, a pioneer of the plateau's tourist development.

Turn-by-turn directions

From San Giacomo, follow the signs for the SAT Path O622 to Malga Campo. From here, along an easy, level forest road, you can head towards Bocca del Creer, after which you will begin your descent along SAT Path O633, which, after a level stretch through the meadows below, bends to the left and descends towards San Giacomo.

By road

From the A22 motorway exit Rovereto Sud follow the signs for Brentonico and then continue in the direction of San Giacomo - San Valentino.
