Author’s recommendation
The entire mule track that climbs from Rifugio Graziani to the Altissimo is exposed to the sun and on a sunny side. In summer it is recommended to tackle the path in the coolest hours and to leave with a little water for the excursion. You can shorten the climb by taking a path at the third bend of the mule track that quickly leads to the summit. It is advisable to return from path 622 and 650, or to make the ascent from 651 and return from 650 and 633.
In case of fog, the rounded shape of the mountain offers no reference points and it is easy to lose orientation.
Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.
Departure from Graziani taking path 633 which leads to the top of Monte Altissimo. Return from the outward path or, alternatively, descend from path 622 that arrives at Malga Campo. From here take the path 650 which leads to the Graziani refuge. Third alternative starting from Bocca di Navene through the path 651.

Getting there
From the A22 ROVERETO SUD exit, follow the signs for Mori until you reach the town. After the town traffic lights turn left at the crossroads following the signs for ALTIPIANO di BRENTONICO. Reached and passed the town of Brentonico, follow the signs for San Valentino / Monte Baldo taking the uphill road to the right at the crossroads, reach and pass the San Valentino pass (11 km from Brentonico) and continue along the Graziani road up to the homonymous Rifugio.
