Turn-by-turn directions

From the locality of Sega di Ala, descend for a short distance along the SP211 road to turn immediately right onto the Strada delle Malghe road, which you follow first on the level and then slightly uphill until you pass the first hairpin bend on the left. From here, after about 400 m, turn right (varco) taking the suggestive route of the Strada dei Ladri (Thieves' Road) that skirts the beech forest on the left and the pastures below on the right. We soon reach Passo delle Fittanze from where we continue left along the SP211 and then turn immediately right onto a dirt road in the direction of Monte Cornetto.

Having passed the first hairpin bend on the right, near the next one on the left, leave the road and climb up to the right along the evident track in the meadow to the characteristic little pass of Col di Pealda Bassa, where you turn right and follow the tarmac road downhill for about 200 m. From here -equal to 1456 m- on the left (gap), the dirt track begins again, first crossing the pastureland and then descending into the beech forest. Having passed two hairpin bends, the route continues flat and then climbs up again, keeping to the left towards the ridge above Malga delle Cime and Monte Corno, after which care must be taken on the descent to take the narrow path on the left, which enters the wood. When you reach a clearing, the route turns right onto a dirt road that rejoins the Strada Forestale di Malga Borghetto just below, along which you return to the starting point, skirting the Campeggio al Faggio and the Villaggio San Michele.
