Dal villaggio di S.Bernardino partendo dalle piste di sci di Pian Cales seguento il sentiero estivo si raggiunge la Cassina de Vignun. Da questo punto si svolta leggermente a nord e si sale su pendii a tratti ripidi tra il Piz Uccello e il Piz Cavriola. Da quota 2400m si prende la direzione nord-est per il pendio finale che ci porta direttamente sulla cima ovest del Piz Cavriola

È consigliabile seguire l'itinerario presentato sulla guida scialpinistica del Ticino e Mesolcina (in vendita presso l'ufficio dell'ente turistico).
