This varied walk heads west from Disentis train station to the Sontga Gada chapel.   This solitary chapel, which dates back to the 11th century, was renovated in 1420 and is a reminder of the Saracen invasion in 940. The 15th century frescoes are well worth seeing. Follow the wide path down to the Rhine and Cuflons, where there is a lovely barbecue spot. We recommend sitting down and listening to the water for a few minutes before crossing the bridge that dates back to Roman times. The trail along the Rhine is particularly fascinating. Through the trees you can see into the streambed with its eroded potholes. Follow the Lukmanier Pass road until you reach your destination of Fontanivas. This place offers everything you need for a sunny summer's day: bathing lake, water playground, restaurant and plenty of space in which to relax. Refreshed and rested, you can return to the train station, walking part of the route between well-maintained dry stone walls. The entire route can be navigated with a kid's off-road buggy.

In Cuflons befindet sich eine Schweizer Familie-Feuerstelle direkt am Rhein.

Turn-by-turn directions

From Disentis train station to the village church. Here you turn left and left again by the stream. You will now find yourself on a road leading to Sontga Gada. A wide hiking trail leads down to the Rhine. Keep left by the bridge until you reach the road. Cross the road and you will find yourself in Fontanivas. Head east through the forest until you reach the signpost, where you should keep to the left. Follow the dry stone wall trail until you reach Raveras. There is then a short climb to the station, which will already be in view.

Diese Strecke ist auf keinen Fall Kinderwagen tauglich. Wir haben einen top offroad Kinderwagen und oft ist die Strecke zu steil auf rutschigem Kiesweg neben steiler Böschung. Viel zu gefährlich. Ohne Kinderwagen top.
