all details
This tour takes us from Zuoz railway station in the Upper Engadine through Val Susauna and initially up to Alp Funtauna, then over the Scaletta Pass and along the Dischma stream to Davos. This wonderful alpine route will be familiar to bikers ever since the 7-day gigathlon during the 2002 Expo Year as this route from Samedan airport to Frauenfeld via Davos was its 5th stage. The Scaletta pass is also well known to sports enthusiasts in general from the fascinating TV images broadcast each year at the end of July during the annual Swiss Alpine Marathon Davos/Bergün. Almost the entire route to the Scaletta Pass is ridable, on a track up to Alp Funtauna, then on a single trail. After the Scaletta Pass many bikers will find themselves pushing their bike along the first, rocky sections, but then the trail to Dürrboden and the final tracks and trails to Davos are all ridable without problem.
