Die höchstgelegene Schutzhütte der Alpenregion Nationalpark Gesäuse liegt in einer Scharte am Fuße von Admonter Warte und Natterriegel und bietet eine grandiose Aussicht einerseits ins Talbecken von Admont und in nördlicher Richtung auf den Seeboden und ins Laussatal.

Das Admonter Haus bietet eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf Admont und die umliegenden Berge und ist auch Ausgangspunkt zahlreicher Touren und Wanderungen.

Zwei Klettersteige wurden in dieser Region von der Sektion Admont gebaut. Einer, der Hexensteig, führt über den Natterriegel auf den Hexenturm (2 ½ Std.). Beim anderen, dem Jungfernsteig, gelangt man vom Admonter Haus auf Steiermarks schönsten Blumenberg, den Grabnerstein (1 Std.).
