Allgemeines

Die Eschachalm ist mit dem PKW und Linienbus erreichbar und Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in den Schladminger Tauern - in Richtung Duisitzkarsee und Keinprechthütte oder in Richtung Giglachseen.

 

Lage

Sie befindet sich am Ende der Obertalstraße.

 

Bewirtschaftung

Inge und Gerald Sieder bewirtschaften die Hütte von Anfang Juni bis Mitte Oktober. Kulinarisch steht die Eschachalm für traditionelle Hüttenkost und hausgemachte Mehlspeisen.

 

Aufstieg

Von der Eschachalm führen ein Wandersteig und ein Forstweg zum Duisitzkarsee. Die Aufstiegszeit wird in den meisten Wanderführern und auf Hinweistafeln mit 1 bis 1,5 Stunden angegeben. Der Wandersteig ist die etwas steilere, direktere Aufstiegsvariante. Viele Wanderer bevorzugen es, über den Wandersteig auf- und über den Forstweg abzusteigen. Eine alternative Aufstiegsroute führt über die Neualm. Für diese Variante ist eine Gehzeit von ca. 2,5 Stunden einzuplanen.
