Allgemeines
Sie befindet sich im Südwesten der Schladminger Tauern, nahe an der Grenze der Steiermark zum Bundesland Salzburg (Lungau zwischen der Steirischen Kalkspitze (2 459 m ü. A. im Westen und den Giglachseen im Osten.
Sie ist üblicherweise zwischen Mitte Juni und Mitte Oktober bewirtschaftet.
Ausstattung
Die Ignaz-Mattis-Hütte verfügt über sieben Betten und 50 Matratzenlager. Im Winterraum stehen maximal 16 Lager zur Verfügung (mit Sonderschloss, Schlüssel beim Hüttenwirt in Rohrmoos-Untertal). Wer den im Winterraum vorhandenen Ofen beheizen will, muss jedoch das Heizmaterial selbst mitbringen.
