Die Schladminger Hütte Planai ist ein gastronomisches Unternehmen in 1 830 m ü. A. auf der Planai in den Schladminger Tauern, direkt neben der Planai-Bergstation.

 

Allgemeines

Die Hütte, die 200 Sitzplätze bietet, ist ganzjährig geöffnet. Sie wird seit 1991 von Gerlinde und Fritz Gerhardter geführt. Die Hütte ist im Besitz des Österreichischen Alpenvereins.

 

Geschichte

 

Ein Festtag in den Schladminger Bergen

So lautet der Titel einer Ankündigung im Ennstaler vom 3. September 1926 über die bevorstehende Eröffnung der Schladmingerhütte auf der Planai. Gerade unmittelbar nach dem Neubau der Schladmingerhütte 1993 (Amn: Quelle stammt aus dem Jahr 1994) wurde so manche Erinnerung an die alte Hütte wach, die durch mehr als 60 Jahre sowohl den Einheimischen als auch vielen Gästen zu einem liebgewordenen Wanderziel in den Schladminger Tauern wurde.
