The shortest round tour on the Wine Roads Tour offers a wonderful insight into Styria's Wine Country, with a particularly close look at the variety boasted by the South Styrian Wine Road and the wine-growing district of Gamlitz. Cycle along the vineyards, past Buschenschänken (wine taverns) and wine-growing estates, marvelling at the stunning landscapes and enjoying the culinary delights.

Equipment

For your own safety: Please wear a cycling helmet and closed shoes!

Touring bikes or town bikes are recommended rather than racing bikes, as some short sections use stony tracks, although these can be bypassed on the state roads. Tip: it never hurts to bring a basic set of tools and accessories with you, such as a replacement hose and/or repair kit, spanner, tire pump, braking and gearshift cable and a screwdriver.

There are numerous places to stop for refreshment along the tour, but please take a bottle of water with you nonetheless.
