Admire hundreds of mountain peaks in front of your nose, enjoy a dream view and feel feelings of freedom? All this combined with the summit climb, which is easy.
Distance 3.9 km
On this tour you can expect an easy summit climb, which is rewarded with a dream view. From the Schneiderkogel you have an impressive panoramic view of hundreds of peaks all around and the great mountain personalities around the Tauplitzalm - the mighty Grimming, which towers over the Enns Valley, the famous Dachstein massif, the rugged stone walls in the Tote Gebirge and the sunny Tauplitzalm, which with its six lakes is the largest lake plateau in Central Europe.
A visit to the small mountain church on the Tauplitzalm is worthwhile. With its characteristic roof shape and stained glass windows, it is the perfect place for an inner retreat.

EquipmentProper backpacking makes many things easier: pack heavy things first. The water bottle should always be within easy reach in a side pocket. All things that are often needed, such as sunglasses, camera or hiking map, belong on top. An emergency kit including blister plaster belongs in every backpack and a clothing according to the "onion system" is always recommended!
