Turn-by-turn directions
The hike continues across the high plateau in the direction of Steirersee. You should take the time for a short break at the Steirerseebankerl. The view of the Sturzhahn and the shining Steirersee is unforgettable.
At the Steirersee huts you have to decide whether you prefer to hike along the north side of the Steirersee or rather the south side. Surefootedness is required for all paths.
Hidden behind a small hill, you then reach the Schwarzensee. On the eastern shore of the lake, turn south onto trail no. 216. Over the so-called "giant" you go down towards Tauplitz.
Almost at the end of the path you reach the "Sagtümpel", it is a vauclus giant karst spring.
At the Gnanitzstraße then turn right in the direction of Tauplitz.
Note
Getting there
The journey to Tauplitz is best planned with google.at/maps. From there you can take the 4-seater chairlift to the high plateau.By car, you can get to the Tauplitzalm from Bad Mitterndorf via the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road (toll).
Parking
There are enough parking spaces directly at the valley station of the 4-seater chairlift.Coordinates

Equipment
Proper backpacking makes many things easier: pack heavy things first. The water bottle should always be within easy reach in a side pocket. All things that are often needed, such as sunglasses, camera or hiking map, belong on top. An emergency kit including blister plaster belongs in every backpack and a clothing according to the "onion system" is always recommended!Statistics
